Print ReviewsElksingers Perfected Tarot is discussed in these books about Tarot . . . Stuart R. Kaplan, Encyclopedia of Tarot, Vol. 2, United States Games Systems, 1988, ISBN 0913866369 Rachel Pollack, The New Tarot: Modern Variations of Ancient Images, Overlook Press, 1990, ISBN 0879513950 Pollack says, Elksinger brings together many influences and sources in his Perfected Tarot. The influences include alchemy, Kabbalah, Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism, Robert Graves, Egyptian and North American religious traditions, and finally Neo-Paganism, with emphasis on the divine in nature . . . Elksinger does not simply display all of these as lists of symbols around the borders (though the tops of the cards do carry Hebrew letters, astrological signs, alchemical symbols, and, in the minor cards, the Latin names of plants and animals). He has synthesized his sources into the pictures themselves. The art is mysterious and evocative, with a fine sense of detail. Online ReviewsFrom

From a review by Gina M. Pace The book is, in and of itself, a real gem since it offers comprehensive (and good!) meditations for each card, as well as divinatory meanings, sections on the Tree of Life and the differences between the Hermetic Tree and the Qabalistic Tree, numerological associations; the list goes on and on. Its chock-filled with great information . . . Collectors will definitely want to get their hands on a copy . . . Copyright
